Attribution
The credit lines our data licences ask for, in one place. Each page that uses the data also credits it where the figures appear. The full list of datasets is on the data sources page.
1Government data
Data from the DVLA, DVSA, Department for Transport and Office for National Statistics is used under the Open Government Licence:
Contains public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0.
The analysis and any errors in it are Motoring Insider's. The publishers do not endorse our pages.
2Postcode data
The ONS Postcode Directory, used for postcode areas and the postcode search boxes (through postcodes.io), also asks for:

3Council boundaries
The middle of each council, where the charger map starts when opened from a council's page, comes from ONS boundaries, which ask for:

4OpenStreetMap
© OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database Licence (ODbL) v1.0.
The charger database we derive from OpenStreetMap is kept apart from our other data and is available under the same licence on request. Ask through our contact form.
5Open Charge Map
Charger data from Open Charge Map contributors, under CC BY 4.0.
Each Open Charge Map charger also names its own data provider and licence, and the map shows both with that charger. For example, records from the UK National Chargepoint Registry are under the Open Government Licence v2.0.

7Fuel prices
Fuel prices from the Fuel Finder scheme, run for the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero.
The scheme's terms do not allow the raw data to be passed on, so prices appear on our pages only and are not available for download.
8Paid report data
Premium Vehicle Reports include commercial data from Experian and other providers, bought through One Auto API for each report. Each report credits its own sources. This data is never used on our free pages.
