Every Dacia Duster recall

Newest first. The concern is the part or system affected, the defect is what can go wrong, and the remedy is what the manufacturer does to put it right.

  1. Risk of parking brake actuator failing

R/2025/378, launched 9 September 2025, 6 vehicles affected across the models it covers

Defect: For certain vehicles a concern involving the electric traction reducer parking brake mechanism actuator or gearbox engagement actuator within the transmission may result in the parking brake mechanism actuator no longer correctly positioning the locking pawl in the “P lock”.

Remedy: Replacement of the electric traction reducer parking brake mechanism actuator or gearbox Engagement Actuator.

  2. As a preventive measure the technical operation consists of checking the number of the left curtain airbag and if necessary of replacing the one sought identified as non-compliant.

R/2024/031, launched 5 February 2024, 34 vehicles affected across the models it covers

Defect: On affected vehicles the left side curtain airbag may not deploy in the event of an impact requiring its activation.

  3. On the affected vehicle the LPG tank may have been welded incorrectly

R/2023/287, launched 18 October 2023, 1 vehicle affected across the models it covers

Defect: On the affected vehicle the LPG tank may have been welded incorrectly.

    Remedy: Replace the LPG tank.

  4. RISK OF THE KEY JAMMING IN THE START POSITION CAUSING POTENTIAL DAMGE TO THE STARTER MOTOR.

R/2020/307, launched 3 November 2020, 2,611 vehicles affected across the models it covers. Also covers the Logan, Sandero

Defect: There is a possible risk of the ignition switch not disengaging correctly after starting the vehicle resulting in the key jamming in the start position. In rare circumstances this may cause a thermal incident.

Remedy: Replacement of the ignition switch.

  5. INCORRECT WIRING IN HORN SYSTEM CAN CAUSE ONE OR MORE SAFETY FAULTS

R/2017/255, launched 19 September 2017, 1,300 vehicles affected across the models it covers

Defect: The flange nut can seize on the thread of the studs in the fuse box which could mean the terminals do not have the correct torque and may be loose. Electrical cables connected to the fuse box might become loose and could cause arcing. This condition could cause for example the horn to stop working airbag/s to deploy in exceptional circumstances fire etc.

Remedy: Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and replace all fuse box cable flange nuts to new correct type nuts and tighten to correct torque.
