Every DS DS 4 recall
Newest first. The concern is the part or system affected, the defect is what can go wrong, and the remedy is what the manufacturer does to put it right.
VSM software Interior door handles
R/2026/230, launched 3 June 2026, 589 vehicles affected across the models it covers
Defect: Affected vehicles may experience an unexpected deactivation of the interior door handles when the key is in engine-running mode which could result in occupants being unable to exit.
Remedy: Update the Vehicle Supervision Module software.
Risk of wrong fuel pipe routing
R/2026/197, launched 3 June 2026, 3 vehicles affected across the models it covers
Defect: Affected vehicles may have an incorrectly routed fuel pipe at risk of contact with other components which could lead to a fuel leak or risk of fire.
Remedy: Check the correct routing of the fuel pipe and replace if necessary.
VSM software missing AEB telltale in case of blind camera.
R/2026/175, launched 21 April 2026, 181 vehicles affected across the models it covers
Defect: On certain DS vehicles the Automatic Emergency Braking Assist telltale fails to illuminate if the front camera is blocked. No AEB warning telltale meaning no warning light appears in the instrument cluster. An additional pop-up appears for around 10 seconds at each key on/key off (Driving Assistance Sensor Blind: clean sensor see User Manual). The Automatic Emergency Braking system is operating in a degraded mode but remains functional due to radar support.
Remedy: To rectify this issue we will update the Vehicle System Management software
DS Automobiles Fuel Pipe
R/2025/284, launched 18 July 2025. Also covers the DS3 Crossback
Defect: On affected vehicles there may be loose connections between a high-pressure fuel pipe and the engine fuel rail which potentially could lead to a leak and risk of fire.
Remedy: Retighten the affected connections.
DS DS4 Fuel Pipe Leakage
R/2025/057, launched 13 February 2025, 27 vehicles affected across the models it covers
Defect: Affected vehicles may face potential leakage of the under-bonnet fuel pipe due to a weakness of its crimping.
Remedy: Change the fuel pipe.
Affected vehicles may have been supplied with a charging cable that was not according to specification (a risk of a wrong safety calibration feature of the temperature sensor of the charging cable pins). In worst-case this could lead to a thermal incident during charging.
R/2023/165, launched 31 May 2023, 40 vehicles affected across the models it covers
Defect: Affected vehicles may have been supplied with a charging cable that was not according to specification (a risk of a wrong safety calibration feature of the temperature sensor of the charging cable pins). In worst-case this could lead to a thermal incident during charging.
Remedy: Check charge cable date and replace if necessary.

What to do next
If you own a DS DS 4, check its registration on GOV.UK and ask a DS dealer whether any recall work is outstanding. If you are buying one, ask the seller for proof the work was done, and run a Motoring Insider history check for finance, write-offs and the MOT history.
