R/2015/259, launched 21 January 2016, 1,327 vehicles affected across the models it covers. Also covers the A-Class, B-Class, C-Class, CLS, E-Class, GLA, SLK and SLC
Defect: The high pressure fuel lines have not been manufactured to the correct specification which over time can lead to crack formation and fuel leaking. Fuel escaping in the presence of an ignition source could lead to fire.
Remedy: Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and replace the high pressure fuel lines.
ENGINE MAY FAIL
R/2015/210, launched 19 November 2015, 395 vehicles affected across the models it covers. Also covers the A-Class, B-Class, C-Class, E-Class, GLA, SLK and SLC
Defect: The camshaft could break and damage the engine due to it not being manufactured to the correct specification. If the condition occurs it will lead to a sudden loss of drive thereby increasing the risk of a collision.
Remedy: Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and replace the exhaust camshaft.
ENGINE MAY FAIL
R/2015/208, launched 19 November 2015, 14 vehicles affected across the models it covers. Also covers the GLA, SLK and SLC
Defect: The camshaft could break and damage the engine due to it not being manufactured to the correct specification. If the condition occurs it will lead to a sudden loss of drive thereby increasing the risk of a collision.
Remedy: Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and replace the intake camshaft.
FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG MAY NOT DEPLOY
R/2015/145, launched 12 August 2015, 1,028 vehicles affected across the models it covers. Also covers the A-Class, B-Class, GLA
Defect: Certain fuses in the passenger's footwell may not have been fitted correctly. This may adversely affect the instrument cluster windscreen wipers and the passenger seat occupancy recognition system. In certain conditions this may cause the passenger's air bag not to deploy in an accident.
Remedy: On affected vehicles check fuses and if necessary replace fuse box.
POSSIBILITY OF LOSS OF DRIVE
R/2015/099, launched 14 July 2015, 3,890 vehicles affected across the models it covers. Also covers the A-Class, B-Class
Defect: The drive shaft and the hub of the outer joint may separate. In very rare cases it cannot be excluded that the vehicle stops. The steering and braking system remain fully available to the driver.
Remedy: Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to replace the snap ring both sides together with the respective outboard boots on the affected vehicles.
OIL MAY LEAK
R/2014/182, launched 16 January 2015, 61,672 vehicles affected across the models it covers. Also covers the A-Class, B-Class, C-Class, CLS, E-Class, GLA, M Class, SLK and SLC
Defect: On certain diesel engines the 'O' ring may not have been produced to the correct specification. This may allow oil to leak and contaminate the environment. If excessive oil is lost engine damage may occur.
Remedy: On affected vehicles replace the chain tensioner sealing ring.
SEAT BELT ANCHORATE AND WINDOW BAGS MAY NOT PERFORM CORRECTLY
R/2014/076, launched 7 July 2014, 7 vehicles affected across the models it covers
Defect: On affected vehicles individual threaded seat belt connections may not have been tightened to the correct torque. This may affect the anchoring of seat belts window bags and ground points. The manufacturer cannot completely rule out that the affected components may not fulfil their designated functions as the seat belt anchorage points may not be fully secure. It is also possible that this may cause erroneous messages to appear in the instrument cluster
Remedy: Recall vehicles and check torque settings on affected threaded connections. Correct where necessary
SEATBELT ANCHORAGE POINT MAY NOT BE SECURE
R/2014/075, launched 7 July 2014, 2 vehicles affected across the models it covers
Correct where necessary.

If you own a Mercedes-Benz CLA, check its registration on GOV.UK and ask a Mercedes-Benz dealer whether any recall work is outstanding. If you are buying one, ask the seller for proof the work was done, and run a Motoring Insider history check for finance, write-offs and the MOT history.
