Every Nissan Juke recall

Newest first. The concern is the part or system affected, the defect is what can go wrong, and the remedy is what the manufacturer does to put it right.

  1. Juke (F16) Front Seat Belt

R/2025/118, launched 7 April 2025, 4,342 vehicles affected across the models it covers

Defect: On affected vehicles the front seat belt may have been accidentally damaged during the parts preparation for assembly.

Remedy: The retailers will inspect vehicles as identified as potentially affected and replace any affected seat belt assemblies.

  2. Juke (F16) Qashqai (J12) and Leaf (ZE1) VIN Scan

R/2024/234, launched 17 June 2024. Also covers the Leaf, Qashqai

Defect: On affected vehicles the VIN stored in the vehicle system may not match the actual VIN of the vehicle. This may lead to a situation where a vehicle user can see information related to a different vehicle resulting in a data security breach.

Remedy: Replace the navigation display / control unit and the telematics control unit.

  3. Juke (F16) Right Hand Rear Door

R/2024/179, launched 25 April 2024, 8 vehicles affected across the models it covers

Defect: On affected vehicles the right-hand rear door welds may be out of specification. The door may rattle and a side impact may increase the risk of deformation. In the extreme impact could cause the hinge to fail and the door to open.

Remedy: Replace the rear right-hand door.

  4. A potential concern affecting the HEVC (Hybrid Electric Vehicle Control) module software has been identified which may cause a module reset of affected vehicles. Simultaneous pressing of brake and accelerator could cause engine stumble or stall.

R/2023/096, launched 19 April 2023, 3,157 vehicles affected across the models it covers

Defect: A potential concern affecting the HEVC (Hybrid Electric Vehicle Control) module software has been identified which may cause a module reset of affected vehicles. Simultaneous pressing of brake and accelerator could cause engine stumble or stall.

Remedy: Update the HEVC module software

  5. THE REAR SEAT BACK MAY NOT BE SECURELY LATCHED WHEN RETURNED TO THE UPRIGHT POSITION AFTER FOLDING.

R/2021/345, launched 21 October 2021, 13,569 vehicles affected across the models it covers

Defect: The rear seat back may not be securely latched when returned to the upright position after folding.

Remedy: Replace both rear seat lock knobs with a countermeasure part.

  6. THE DRIVER'S AIR BAG MAY TEAR DURING INFLATION

R/2021/074, launched 30 March 2021, 7,095 vehicles affected across the models it covers. Also covers the ME0

Defect: The drivers’ bag may tear during inflation.

Remedy: Replace the drivers’ airbag of all potentially affected vehicles.

  7. POSSIBLE REDUCED RETENTION FORCE OF THE REAR DOOR CHILD LOCK SWITCH

R/2020/220, launched 14 August 2020, 299,631 vehicles affected across the models it covers. Also covers the Navara, Note, Pulsar, Qashqai

Defect: Possible reduced retention force of the Rear Door Child Lock switch.

Remedy: Fit a countermeasure part into the child lock door switch aperture of all potentially affected vehicles.

  8. INTERNAL IGNITION SWITCH SPRING MAY HAVE BEEN MANUFACTURED WITH A SURFACE DEFECT

R/2018/233, launched 5 September 2018, 1,046 vehicles affected across the models it covers

Defect: Ignition Switch spring defect may cause engine to be turned off while driving

Remedy: Inspect and where necessary replace the Ignition Switch

  9. REAR OXYGEN SENSOR MAY FAIL

R/2016/157, launched 25 July 2016, 7,393 vehicles affected across the models it covers. Also covers the Pulsar, Qashqai, X-Trail

Defect: If an electrical short occurs in the supply to the rear oxygen sensor the senor will fail but the driver will not see an immediate warning. A MIL warning may display after continued driving depending on driving/vehicle characteristics.

Remedy: Reprogram the ECU to display a warning if the rear oxygen sensor fails.

  10. ENGINE PUSH START SWITCH MAY MALFUNCTION

R/2015/133, launched 4 August 2015, 10,248 vehicles affected across the models it covers. Also covers the Leaf, Micra, Note

Defect: On affected models with a push start ignition switch the switch may remain in the pressed position and not return after switching the engine on. If the vehicle continues to be driven in this condition the emergency engine stop function may operate and cause the engine to unintentionally stop.

Remedy: Inspect and where necessary modify the push start switch housing.

  11. FUEL MAY LEAK

R/2014/167, launched 30 March 2015, 3,489 vehicles affected across the models it covers

Defect: On affected vehicles the fuel pressure sensor may not have been tightened to the correct specification. Heat and engine vibration may cause the sensor to loosen and in extreme cases allow fuel to leak.

Remedy: Tighten fuel pressure sensor on affected vehicles

  12. AIRBAG MAY RELEASE HIGH TEMPERATURE GASES

R/2013/019, launched 25 February 2013, 2,498 vehicles affected across the models it covers

Defect: In the event that the driver airbag is deployed during a frontal impact small holes may occur on the surface of the airbag. The holes are caused by high temperature gases from the airbag inflator exhausting directly onto the surface of the airbag material. The high temperature gas/airbag material may contact the drivers skin. The deployment performance of the driver airbag is not affected.

Remedy: To replace the driver airbag with new.

  13. FUEL MAY LEAK

If left undetected and the vehicle continues to be driven in this condition in extreme cases fuel leakage may occur.

Remedy: Re-tighten the pressure sensor and replace the pressure sensor gasket if required.

  14. ENGINE MAY STALL

R/2011/166, launched 23 January 2012, 2,741 vehicles affected across the models it covers

Defect: The Turbocharger boost sensor bracket may separate from the air inlet tube. This means the boost pressure may be measured incorrectly and the engine warning lamp may be illuminated. During low-speed driving this could cause the engine to stall and not restart

Remedy: Inspect and if necessary replace the air inlet tube with a new one

  15. BRAKES MAY NOT PERFORM CORRECTLY

R/2010/226, launched 16 December 2010, 69 vehicles affected across the models it covers. Also covers the Note

Defect: It is possible that the vehicles brake fluid maybe contaminated with mineral oil. This can cause the seals within the system to swell and affect their sealing properties. This may require drivers to apply additional force to the foot brake and could increase stopping distances.

Remedy: Recall affected vehicles to have the system flushed and replenished with clean fluid.
