R/2020/220, launched 14 August 2020, 299,631 vehicles affected across the models it covers. Also covers the Juke, Note, Pulsar, Qashqai
Defect: Possible reduced retention force of the Rear Door Child Lock switch.
Remedy: Fit a countermeasure part into the child lock door switch aperture of all potentially affected vehicles.
A NON-DESSICATED PASSENGER AIRBAG INFLATOR WAS USED DURING PREVIOUS RECALL TO REPLACE THIS COMPONENT
R/2018/100, launched 17 August 2018, 27,623 vehicles affected across the models it covers. Also covers the Almera, Patrol, Terrano, Tino, X-Trail
Defect: In 2013 Nissan announced a Recall campaign to replace Takata SPI front passenger airbag inflators. A non-dessicated passenger airbag inflator was used for the replacement. Although there have been no known incidents associated with inflators of this type Nissan has decided to replace all inflators previously repaired with a non-dessicated inflator to a new dessicated version.
Remedy: Replace the front passenger airbag inflator with a new dessicated type.
REPLACE AIRBAG INFLATORS CHECKED BUT NOT REPLACED UNDER PREVIOUS RECALL R/2015/093
R/2017/279, launched 11 December 2017, 39,318 vehicles affected across the models it covers. Also covers the Almera, Patrol, Terrano, Tino, X-Trail
Defect: The air bag inflators on affected vehicles were previously checked and deemed to be serviceable. As a precautionary measure the manufacturer has decided to replace them with new assemblies.
Remedy: On affected vehicles replace air bag assembly.
STOP LAMP MAY NOT BE FUNCTIONING AS EXPECTED
R/2016/233, launched 31 October 2016, 5,560 vehicles affected across the models it covers
Defect: It has been identified that under certain unusual conditions the High Mounted Stop Lamp (HMSL) fitted to Navara accessory hardtops does not illuminate simultaneously with the vehicle's stop lamps. During engine start it is possible that a voltage drop can occur which may fall below the HMSL operating threshold. This may result in HMSL not illuminating following engine start.
Remedy: Recall all affected vehicles to modify wiring and the supply to the HMSL.
PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG MAY FAIL TO DEPLOY CORRECTLY
R/2015/093, launched 16 November 2015, 99,525 vehicles affected across the models it covers. Also covers the Almera, Patrol, Terrano, X-Trail
Defect: The manufacturer has identified that a potential air leak at the passenger airbag inflators which may allow moisture to enter the airbag inflator causing the propellant in the inflator units to deteriorate. Deterioration of the propellant may lead to abnormal deployment of the passenger airbag. In an extreme situation this may result in separation of the airbag housing during deployment causing injury to occupants.
Remedy: Inspect air bag assembly and where required replace air bag inflator
SEAT BELTS MAY NOT PERFORM AS EXPECTED
R/2013/144, launched 6 January 2014, 310 vehicles affected across the models it covers. Also covers the Pathfinder
Defect: Incorrect installation of the front seat belts has occurred where the position of the left hand side and right hand side seat belts may have been swapped. This incorrect installation affects homologation regulation and may potentially affect restraint performance.
Remedy: Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to check and where necessary refit the front seat belts.
BALL JOINT MAY DISCONNECT
R/2013/128, launched 25 November 2013, 471 vehicles affected across the models it covers. Also covers the Pathfinder
Defect: The front lower suspension/steering ball joint retaining ring may not have been manufactured to specification. This could in extreme circumstances result in the detachment of the ball joint from its housing. This can then cause loss of control of the vehicle.
Remedy: Recall all affected vehicles to check and if required replace the lower link ball joint.
PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG MAY FAIL TO DEPLOY CORRECTLY
R/2013/050, launched 22 April 2013, 59,008 vehicles affected across the models it covers. Also covers the Almera, Patrol, Terrano, X-Trail
Defect: The subject vehicles are equipped with front passenger airbag inflators which could have been assembled with improperly manufactured propellant wafers. Improperly manufactured propellant wafers could cause the inflator to rupture and the front passenger airbag to deploy abnormally in a crash. This could result in increased risk of injury to the occupant and the possibility of a fire.
Remedy: Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to inspect and where necessary replace the airbag inflator module.
DRIVER SEAT FAULT
R/2012/036, launched 2 April 2012, 29,866 vehicles affected across the models it covers. Also covers the Pathfinder
Defect: The Drivers power seat harness may become trapped between the metal seat bracket and the seat lifter Mechanism. If the vehicle continues to be driven in this condition damage to the harness may occur and this can result in loss of operation of the driver's power seat. In extreme circumstances unexpected self-operation of the driver's power seat base may occur.
Remedy: Inspection of the driver's power seat harness for correct installation rectify if necessary. If the harness is damaged it will be replaced with new.

Defect: In certain rare conditions where the vehicle is used fully loaded and cornering with high lateral acceleration a crack may occur on the spoke of the aluminium wheel. If this condition is ignored and the vehicle continues to be driven the crack may propagate around other wheel spokes. This condition is expected to create a change in the vehicle handling and in extreme cases could lead to wheel detachment.
Remedy: Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to replace the wheels.
BRAKES MAY NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY
R/2010/061, launched 8 June 2010, 125 vehicles affected across the models it covers. Also covers the NV200, Pathfinder
