Every Nissan NV200 recall
Newest first. The concern is the part or system affected, the defect is what can go wrong, and the remedy is what the manufacturer does to put it right.
THE WELDED JOINT ON THE ACTUATOR PLATE WITHIN THE REDUCER MAY BE OF POOR QUALITY AND THE PARK LOCK MAY NOT ENGAGE
R/2020/294, launched 2 November 2020, 2,547 vehicles affected across the models it covers. Also covers the Leaf

INTERNAL IGNITION SWITCH SPRING MAY HAVE BEEN MAUNFACTURED WITH A SURFACE DEFECT
R/2018/234, launched 5 September 2018, 43 vehicles affected across the models it covers

BACK DOORS / HATCHBACK MAY BE UNSUPPORTED WHEN OPEN
R/2016/081, launched 31 August 2016, 4,377 vehicles affected across the models it covers. Also covers the X-Trail, e-NV200
Defect: The paint coating applied to the back door gas stay does not comply with the design requirement for anti-corrosion. Therefore the outer tube of the gas stay may corrode and crack resulting in the loss of the pressurised gas inside the gas stay. In this condition the gas stay would be unable to support the opening of the back door allowing it to drop on the vehicle user.
Remedy: Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and replace the back door gas stay.
LOSS OF STEER
R/2015/007, launched 16 February 2015, 27,252 vehicles affected across the models it covers
Defect: It is possible that the steering wheel boss may not have been produced to the correct specification. If a higher than normal loading is applied to the steering wheel typically on low speed manoeuvring it is possible that the steering wheel boss may separate from the steering column. This can result in a loss of steering control.
Remedy: Recall all affected vehicles to check and if necessary replace the steering wheel assembly.

What to do next
If you own a Nissan NV200, check its registration on GOV.UK and ask a Nissan dealer whether any recall work is outstanding. If you are buying one, ask the seller for proof the work was done, and run a Motoring Insider history check for finance, write-offs and the MOT history.
