Remedy: Recall affected vehicles to check rod and replace if found not to meet conformity.

  71. BRAKING PERFORMANCE MAY BE AFFECTED

R/2010/029, launched 16 March 2010, 2,001 vehicles affected across the models it covers

Defect: It has been identified that water may ingress the brake drums causing premature brake lining wear. Should this occur the brake effort produced by the rear wheels may be reduced.

Remedy: Recalled vehicles will have a seal fitted to the handbrake cable and the subject brake linings replaced.

  72. FUEL MAY LEAK

R/2010/016, launched 15 February 2010, 2,611 vehicles affected across the models it covers

Defect: It has been identified that the possibility exists that contact between the fuel return pipe and the engine shield may take place inside the engine compartment. Should this occur wear on the pipe would ensue which in the worst case; would result in a fuel leak.

Remedy: Recalled vehicles will be fitted with an additional fastener to ensure that contact is not made and if necessary the fuel return pipe will be replaced.

  73. LIGHTS MAY SWITCH OFF UNEXPECTEDLY

R/2009/104, launched 16 October 2009, 48,938 vehicles affected across the models it covers. Also covers the 307

Defect: In rare cases the lighting management system may incorrectly detect the lighting switch ring position which may cause the lights to cut out.

Remedy: Recall affected vehicles and download new version of vehicle exterior lighting software

  74. ACCELERATOR PEDAL MAY NOT RETURN WHEN RELEASED

R/2008/183, launched 19 December 2008, 290 vehicles affected across the models it covers

Defect: The throttle pedal may not return to its initial position as a result of a nonconformity to specification.

Remedy: Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to check and where necessary replace the pedal mechanism.

  75. REDUCED BRAKING PERFORMANCE

R/2008/015, launched 1 February 2008, 19,867 vehicles affected across the models it covers. Also covers the 307, 407, 607, 807

Defect: It has been identified that on the specified vehicles a fault may develop with the brake vacuum pump. This can result in hardening of the brake pedal with an attendant loss of braking efficiency.

Remedy: Recalled vehicles will have the vacuum pump replaced.

  76. POTENTIAL LOSS OF POWER STEERING ASSISTANCE

R/2007/148, launched 25 October 2007, 749 vehicles affected across the models it covers

Defect: It has been identified that the earthing terminal for the electrical power assisted steering assembly may require reinforcing. This is necessary in order to provide the correct electrical supply to the power steering assembly and to prevent possible loss of steering assistance. In any case the vehicle's steering capacity is not altered.

Remedy: Recalled vehicles will have the power steering earth connection reinforced as necessary.
