Every Vauxhall Agila recall
Newest first. The concern is the part or system affected, the defect is what can go wrong, and the remedy is what the manufacturer does to put it right.
AIRBAG MAY NOT FUNCTION TO SPECIFICATION
R/2014/069, launched 17 July 2014, 7,190 vehicles affected across the models it covers
Defect: The drivers airbag may not deploy in the case of a frontal collision. This because the passenger airbag pigtail is not to specification.
Remedy: Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to replace the passenger airbag pigtail.
FUEL MAY LEAK
R/2011/089, launched 15 September 2011, 16,332 vehicles affected across the models it covers
Defect: An insufficient paint adhesion to the fuel tank sheet metal surface could lead to corrosion resulting in a fuel odour/leak.
Remedy: The fuel tank will be checked for delamination of the paint surface and wax applied as a preventative measure. If necessary the fuel tank will be replaced.
AIRBAG MAY NOT DEPLOY IN AN ACCIDENT
R/2008/083, launched 25 July 2008, 411 vehicles affected across the models it covers
Defect: The laser cut split line of the passenger air-bag cover may not be present. In the case of an accident it is possible that the passenger air-bag may not deploy.
Remedy: Recall the likely to be affected vehicles and replace the passenger air-bag module cover.
POSSIBLE REDUCTION IN BRAKE PERFORMANCE
R/2002/161, launched 4 December 2002, 826 vehicles affected across the models it covers
Defect: Potential soft brake pedal and reduced brake performance due to water induced corrosion of the brake master cylinder and consequential fluid leakage.
Remedy: Replace the brake master cylinder and refill brake system with fresh fluid.

What to do next
If you own a Vauxhall Agila, check its registration on GOV.UK and ask a Vauxhall dealer whether any recall work is outstanding. If you are buying one, ask the seller for proof the work was done, and run a Motoring Insider history check for finance, write-offs and the MOT history.
