Every Jaguar E-Pace recall

Newest first. The concern is the part or system affected, the defect is what can go wrong, and the remedy is what the manufacturer does to put it right.

  1. E-PACE F-PACE Defender Discovery Sport Range Rover Evoque and Range Rover Velar PHEV Traction Battery Fire Risk

    R/2025/555, launched 12 June 2026. Also covers the F-Pace

Defect: Vehicles have experienced thermal overload which may manifest in smoke or fire that may occur underneath the rear of the vehicle where the high voltage traction battery is located. The root cause is not yet known and investigations are continuing. A vehicle thermal overload condition such as fire or smoke can result in increased risk of occupant injury and/or injury to persons outside the vehicle as well as property damage.

Remedy: Vehicles will be inspected by the retailer and as required at-risk battery packs will be replaced.

  2. Jaguar E-PACE Inappropriate Passenger Airbag Deployment

R/2025/260, launched 28 November 2025, 5,479 vehicles affected across the models it covers

Defect: On certain 2021 to 2024 Model Year Jaguar E-PACE vehicles during a passenger airbag deployment the airbag may tear as a result of improper folding of the airbag during the airbag assembly process.

Remedy: Affected Vehicles will have the passenger airbag module and associated components replaced.

  3. Electric Power Inverter Converter B (EPICB) Software Update

R/2025/281, launched 5 August 2025, 2,246 vehicles affected across the models it covers

Defect: On affected vehicles due to a software issue in the Electric Power Inverter Converter B (EPICB) it is possible that as the high voltage battery depletes during driving in EV mode the engine may not restart when the state of charge reduces and the vehicle will therefore lose power. There will not be an associated warning to the driver.

Remedy: Vehicle’s software to be updated in the Electric Power Inverter Converter B (EPICB) and other modules as required to ensure complete cross-module integration. In parallel an over-the-air update will be rolled out and customers who successfully complete this update will not need to visit a retailer.

  4. Jaguar E-PACE Inappropriate Passenger Airbag Deployment

R/2024/178, launched 20 August 2024, 4,144 vehicles affected across the models it covers

Defect: On affected vehicles during a passenger airbag deployment the airbag may tear as a result of the facia airbag deployment door panel not being sufficiently weakened.

Remedy: Vehicles will have the passenger airbag module and associated components replaced.

  5. AJ21-D4 Turbo Oil Feed Pipe Leak

R/2024/207, launched 7 June 2024. Also covers the F-Pace, XE, XF

Defect: On certain vehicles there may be insufficient clamp load on the turbocharger oil feed pipe which may over time loosen and lead to an oil leak.

Remedy: The oil feed pipe will be removed the O-rings replaced lubricated and an additional clamp installed.

  6. THE RUBBERISED FUEL RETURN HOSE ASSEMBLY MAY HAVE BEEN INCORRECTLY MANUFACTURED

R/2021/230, launched 25 June 2021, 3,090 vehicles affected across the models it covers. Also covers the F-Pace, XE, XF

Defect: The rubberised fuel return hose assembly may have been incorrectly manufactured.

Remedy: Inspect the date code on the fuel return pipe and replace the part if necessary.

  7. THE EMERGENCY LOCKING RETRACTOR IN THE FRONT RIGHT HAND SIDE SEAT BELT ASSEMBLY MAY NOT FUNCTION CORRECTLY

R/2021/169, launched 18 May 2021, 191 vehicles affected across the models it covers

Defect: The Emergency Locking Retractor (ELR) in the front right hand side seat belt assembly may not function correctly.

Remedy: Inspect the seat belt assembly and replace if required.

  8. THE RIGHT HAND FRONT SUPPLEMENTARY RESTRAINT SEATBELT PRE TENSIONER WILL NOT FUNCTION UNLESS THE LEFT HAND FRONT SEAT IS OCCUPIED

R/2021/105, launched 13 April 2021, 1,381 vehicles affected across the models it covers

Defect: The right hand front (RHF) (driver’s side) supplementary restraint seatbelt pre-tensioner will not function unless the left hand front seat (LHF) (passenger’s side) is occupied.

Remedy: Dealers will re-orient the connections to align with the respective seating positions.

  9. ONE OR MORE OF THE FASTENERS ON THE RIGHT HAND FRONT SEAT FRAME ASSEMBLY MAY BE MISSING OR INCORRECTLY ASSEMBLED

R/2020/041, launched 27 February 2020, 6 vehicles affected across the models it covers. Also covers the I-Pace

Defect: The fasteners on the right hand front seat frame may be missing or incorrectly assembled.

Remedy: Replace the right hand front seat.

  10. THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ROUTINELY ACHIEVE THE REQUIRED LEVELS OF CO2 EMISSIONS

R/2019/048, launched 15 March 2019, 4,874 vehicles affected across the models it covers. Also covers the F Type, F-Pace, XE, XF

Defect: Vehicles failed to routinely achieve the required levels of CO2 emissions.

Remedy: Update the vehicle software to the latest version.

  11. REVERSE LIGHTS INTERACT WITH EPB

R/2018/088, launched 10 May 2018, 1,305 vehicles affected across the models it covers

Defect: Operation of the reversing lamp may be affected on certain vehicles. When the driver engages reverse gear and the Electric Park Brake (EPB) is applied the reversing lamps will not illuminate.

Remedy: On affected vehicles download the latest software to correct this.

  12. FRONT BRAKE FLEXI HOSE BRACKETS MAY NOT BE TO SPECIFICATION

R/2018/058, launched 24 April 2018, 86 vehicles affected across the models it covers

Defect: Both front brake flexi hose brackets may not be to design specification. The brake flexi-hose may come into contact with the front tyres leading to chafing and ultimately a loss of brake fluid. Brake fluid loss will illuminate a red warning triangle on the instrument cluster and if sufficient brake fluid leaks out this will ultimately result in extended brake pedal travel combined with reduced braking performance and vehicle stopping distances will increase. Loss of one braking circuit could compromise vehicle stability and increase the risk of an accident.

Remedy: Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and inspect the front brake flexi hose brackets. If the clearance is not to the required specification the technician will replace either one or both of the front brake flexi hose brackets.

  13. FUEL MAY LEAK

R/2018/035, launched 29 March 2018, 4,464 vehicles affected across the models it covers. Also covers the F Type, F-Pace, XE, XF

Defect: The brazing of the fuel rail end caps is inconsistent and may not correctly seal the fuel rail ends. Fuel vapour and liquid fuel leaks can occur over time. This can lead to a liquid fuel leak into the engine bay.

Remedy: On affected vehicles replace the fuel rail with a correctly manufactured version.
